Liberty Reserve started to use Prolexic
After another week of a lot of downtimes LibertyReserve.com decided to use Prolexic anti ddos protection. They’ve tried to build their in house protection but let’s face it .. didn’t worked .. In last 3 months has been around one week and may be more of total downtime on Liberty Reserve services.
I’m looking to the whole situation as growing payins that every online company that get a lot of exposure needs to face. With the launch of AlterGold, PerfectMoney and other big guys in the e-currencies business there is a lot of competition going on.
Our part has been done as we have promised before. We are now awaiting for Prolexic to to finish their installation routine. As soon as we get updated completion time we will post it here. We understand this may be frustrating to many, but please rest assured that these steps are necessary for the web site to work flawlessly in the future
At the moment when trying to access Liberty Reserve website i’m still getting the scheduled maintenance message so I suppose will take some time till the website will be back on track with the Prolexic technology in place. Hope tomorrow the service will be working great . I’m positive as E-gold is using Prolexic protection and they have been continously online for many years.
Overall a good move from Liberty Reserve but where great if has been done months ago.
